These days all media producing companies as well as the many talent agencies get more focus in my game, and today the Plumbob Pictures' webpage went public. It gives me the oportunity to rant a bit about how my Actors can get casted for a job in a big film :)
Plumbob Pictures is the biggest producer, located in Del Sol Valley. In my universe they produce two big movies for the silver screen every year, and they are of course picky when it comes to the cast. Because of my system of each person involved somehow affecting the reviews based on their skills and fame and a random factor, PP will normally go for the well established and experrienced names, both for leads and supporting roles. You might be lucky to be credited as an Extra, but even then they prefer experienced Extras. The casting will normally be handled by Well Suited Talent Agency, which is the agency for Actors with minimum 3 fame stars. They will of course not sign with Extras, so they will cooperate with one of the other agencies for any roles but leads.
The road from being totally fresh to being considered for a PP production is long. Not only will you need certain skills and some fame, but you should also be seen in minimum one previous production that achieved pretty good reviews - and as reviews are based on all the credited cast (in my case, normally 3-6 sims), it might be hard to get good reviews from participating in smaller productions where the superstars are not involved.
It is all connected. In my game, some might start their career on the TV format as it is easier to get noticed if you do well. PP produce commercials, but hardly anything else for TV, but Simmerville Studio does, and their page will be released next.
