How intrusive are fame and celebrities?

They're pretty intrusive at the moment. But if you aren't leaving home very often as you say then you should be fine.

They seem a little intrusive. I've seen celebrities hanging out at bars, restaurants and clubs in Windenburg, San Myshuno and Willow Creek. In my opinion, celebrities should only spawn on lots with special celebrity lot traits or in Del Sol Valley. Hopefully they change this.

I agree with the other comments. My sim doesn’t leave home often but on the off chance they do there is just about always a celebrity that shows up to the lot they’re on. So I would say they’re intrusive. Realistically celebrities should be a veryyyyy rare sighting. I hope they fix this.

I disagree with it being realistic. I don't see celebrities in my local grocery store or while I'm going to Starbucks, unless I live somewhere with lots of famous people like LA or NYC. Most people don't even see celebrities in their lifetime :D

San Myshuno would make sense as a second world to see celebrities in more often. Grocery store included. (My husband does our grocery shopping. We live in a big city where a lot of filming and recording happen plus being on all the tours. He's ended up in the grocery line with celebs several times, mostly your 2- or 3-star celebs. A 1-star celeb used to cut my hair for actual income. We've seen 5-star celebs on the street, in locals cafes and restaurants, and once in our local convenience store. A side effect: I've been mistaken for a celeb a few times on the street by people who aren't entirely clear on what a particular celeb looks like in detail. Am definitely not one!)

I think people are being too picky. At this point I'd say it's an exaggeration.

If you didn't want celebrities roaming around community lots why buy this pack?

I think it's very realistic and immersing to see celebrity NPC's in community lots and I think they did a great job portraying them. Unlike Late Night the celebrity system is not intrusive at all, fame doesn't spread like a virus.

I live in Los Angeles and it's RARE I see any celebs walking about...especially A Listers. I saw George Clooney once in a lobby crossing paths in an elevator. I have seen some B List and lower fames celebs a few times but nothing frequent. It can happen though. My friend was at Starbucks and Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were in there. Just normal people getting coffee. haha.

But they are everywhere in the game. Too much for sure

I like the fame system too, but I think it's unrealistic to see celebrities hanging around Willow Creek, which is basically the suburbs. How often do you see a celebrity walking by your house?

It's unfortunate in the Sims 4 that you can't restrict certain types sims to specific worlds, like celebrities to Del Sol Valley or vampires to Forgotten Hollow. Same problem with seeing children and teens walking around town when they should be in school. Kinda breaks the immersion. :/
