I don't think there's anything wrong with a pack that focuses on build/buy, this is the first time a pack was designed mainly for build/buy as opposed to live mode which I think is very interesting. This pack alone adds many new decorative options that weren't possible before. Sure it does nothing for gameplay
And that right there is the problem. It's a game pack that doesn't add any more gameplay than your average stuff pack. This would have been a nice stuff pack. But so far, this sounds like a horrible game pack.
but thinking about all the new decorative opportunities this pack offers
And that's typically what stuff packs are supposed to be for. Hence the name. Those are the packs whose purpose is to load you up with a bunch of build/buy/CAS stuff. That's not what expansions and game packs are for.

I don't see a point to get this as someone who hates building.
I love building and even I don't see the point. At least not as a game pack.

That said, I'm glad it has an audience and I know a lot of people can get a lot of use from it.
That's how I felt about the last kit that came out. Not for me but I'm sure there are people who'd get a use out of that aesthetic. This pack though? I'm sorry but this one just feels like they're trying to pull one over on us again. Like they were in a pitch meeting, specifically to look for how they could make a $10 stuff pack and advertise it like a $20 game pack. This is the most EA thing they've done since...well....the last game pack lol
TS4 reeeealy feels like it likes to see how often it can pull the wool over people's eyes sometimes, and I don't like feeling like I'm being played with. So, I was gonna wait till it was on sale but the more I think about it...I might just go ahead and skip this pack altogether like I did with Batuu. I'm not seeing anything that I particularly want or need that I couldn't already get while browsing around for custom content.
