So in place of grand meal and decorations this year, my Sims lit candles and went to a ceremony. It was much more relaxing and actually reminded me more of how I remember Christmas with my family growing up. We always went to a candlelight service after dinner on Christmas Eve. It had a kind of magical feeling to it, seeing the whole sanctuary lit with just the candles people were holding. The Sims can't do the exact same thing, of course, but it was close enough to bring back good memories. :)
I suppose I should have waited to celebrate until after the new patch came out, but New Year's isn't here yet, so hopefully I can borrow some Winterfest stuff for that.
Oh, very nice! I had tweaked winterfest a bit myself. I do enjoy the grand meal, but my sims always grab it from the leftovers in the fridge and grain a lot of weight. :#
Yeah, I can see the grand meal trait being pretty useless to vampires.
