- Thank you so much to everyone who is replying! I love the Seasons pack and it’s cool to see how others are playing. Using the calendar to make a winter and summer break is an amazing idea I never thought of, I’m going to try that too. I’m thinking of 14 days and more holidays, or 28 days with weeks off.
Which holidays do you have for your seasons?
I’ve got for Spring: Easter, Valentine’s Day, Earth Day
Summer: Summerfest, 1 week Summer Break
Autumn: Spooky Day, Harvestfest, Remembrance Day
Winter: Winter Fest, New Year’s Eve, 1 week Winter Break - ChampandGirlie6 years agoSeasoned AceMine is always 28 days per season. That works well for me. I like having subtlety and variable weather over an extended period of time with a gradual transition. This also works well for rotational play because I can play several different households through the same season if I want to. It also means that a year takes a while in my game so time doesn't pass that quickly.
I actually play it as though every household is in synch and the household that I'm currently playing is just showing me what is happening in their own household at that time. I don't need to play every household all the time but I end up with "snapshots" of each household moving through the seasons. I like that.
I do check the calendar and pay attention to holidays. Mostly, I like to make sure that I'm not always repeating the same household during the same holiday each time. - I play with long life span and seasons last 14 days. I sometimes "cut" winter to 7 days, because often it just snows every day and it gets old fast.

I haven't added any holidays in-game yet. I have removed decorating for them though as a requirement since it's glitchy.
My favorite holiday is "Talk like a pirate day" heh heh! Arrgh! - As soon as I start playing again, I'm definitely extending my seasons to 14.
- Longest setting for my seasons. I play very slowly, have tons of households that I rotate between, and have lots of holidays, so it helps to have everything spread out. I use mods to also make pregnancies and university terms work hand-in-hand with my seasons, as well.

Spring: Easter, Flower Day, Spring Cleaning, Mother's Day, Remembrance Day
Summer: Freedom Day, Father's Day, Grateful Sim's Working Day
Autumn: Autumn Cleaning, Spooky Day, Harvestfest, Rebate Friday
Winter: Winterfest Eve, Winterfest, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Polar Bear Plunge, Valentine's Day, Sport Day - omgyamisocringe6 years agoSeasoned Veteran14 days seems fair only because I don't want to get bored of the pack too easily.
