- SEREFRAS6 years agoLegendWe need 84 days for each season to have the sims fully enjoy the seasons without any rush.

- Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned AceI think I will change mine to 28 days sometime in the future. It gets tiresome repeating the holidays so much. :D
- allthemore446 years agoSeasoned AceI've always used 7 days and just assumed everyone else did too. Maybe I'll have to try 14 sometime.

Thank you so much to everyone who is replying! I love the Seasons pack and it’s cool to see how others are playing. Using the calendar to make a winter and summer break is an amazing idea I never thought of, I’m going to try that too. I’m thinking of 14 days and more holidays, or 28 days with weeks off.
Which holidays do you have for your seasons?
I’ve got for Spring: Easter, Valentine’s Day, Earth Day
Summer: Summerfest, 1 week Summer Break
Autumn: Spooky Day, Harvestfest, Remembrance Day
Winter: Winter Fest, New Year’s Eve, 1 week Winter Break
I think on my next save, I'm going to move some days around, but at the moment
Spring - Love day (valentine's) and Spring Romance Festival (they happen to be one right after the other, so I made it a weekend) I used to have Easter, but I could never settle on what traditions I wanted, and didn't want to revise it for the times I didn't have kids in the house.
Summer: 2 days summer break, summerfest, and then two more days of summer break. I used to have Pride in there too, but again, couldn't settle on what I wanted to do for that that wasn't Summerfest Redux.
Autumn: just Fright Fest and Harvestfest.
Winter: Winterfest, 2 days of winter break and New Year's eve. They defaulted to the second week of winter, but next save I'll put them at the end of the first week.
I also have a no-tradition, no day off GeekCon for each season, because I'll sometimes have my sims take the day off and go, and I always forget when it's coming up (and it doesn't overlap with any other holidays, unlike the Spice Festival.)
- Daephene16 years agoSeasoned AceMy holidays by week are (weeks running M-S because that's how I rotate):
Winter week 1: Winterfest Eve and Winterfest (I think Sat-Sun but might be Fri-Sat)
Winter week 2: Boxing Day (Mon) and Big Game Day (Sun)
Winter week 3: Cabin Fever Day (travel and polar plunge) & Festival of Lights (no idea which days without being in game)
Winter week 4: New Year's Eve... technically I also play New year's Day with the same family but it's the first Sunday of spring
Spring week 1: Love Day (mid-week) and Blossomfest (Sunday - basically Easter)
 Spring week 2: none
 Spring week 3: Fool's Day (mid-week)
Spring week 4: Parent's Day (Mothers and Fathers celebrate together, probably Sun)
Summer week 1: 4th of Memorial (Mon) This was created when I had my seasons shorter to get Memorial Day (remembrance) and 4th of July (fireworks) in the same day along with grilling and drinking for both
Summer week 2: Summer Break/Summer Vacation (the weekend, this is usually when my sims take vacations)
 Summer week 3: none
Summer week 4: Summer's End (Fri) Like Labor Day, but on Friday so it's still summer.
Fall week 1: Creative Day (mid-week, uses skill building and gardening traditions)
Fall week 2: All Spook's Eve and Day of the Departed (I think Fri-Sat) Latter is more memorial, former is Halloween
Fall week 3: Anniversary Day (mid-week) since they don't remember individual anniversaries
 Fall week 4: Harvestfest (Thurs)
- FriendlySimmers6 years agoSeasoned Acei have aging fully turn off as a player and seasons set to 28 days
- 7 days for my non-rotational games.
28 days for my rotational games.
- JemmaTheSimmer6 years agoNew AceMostly 14 days for my regular game, which is long life span (though occasionally I age sims up quicker when I'm rotating or pause it sometimes, if I'm not rotating equally). But I find that is enough to have 1 holiday with a day off per season and 1-2 without days off work, without there being too many holidays
If I play normal (which I don't often, but am going to do a legacy soon which will be) I'll reduce it to 7 and reduce the holidays a bit so it isn't overkill - probably a day off holiday every other season and a non-day off one every season.
- SweetieWright_846 years agoSeasoned AceI've always played with 28 days per season. I usually have two holidays per season, sometimes more. I want my Sims to experience everything for each season.
