How long can your sim last without curing sickness/illness?

Just started to wonder about this! How long can your sim last being sick? Will it stay forever or will it eventually pass? I'm trying this out because I'm tired of my sim being sick, then taking medic...

As far as I know rabid rodent fever(from my first pet stuff) and getting hit with a poison dart(from jungle adventure) are the only two illnesses your sim can die from if left untreated. The rest just go away on their own over time.
