How long did it take you to complete the Strangerville mystery?

It took me 9 sim days. I did not use cheats.

9 sims days and I did do the needs cheat

I took me about 2 hours real time, and about a week in-game because, like everyone else is saying, I didn't use cheats, and I figured everything out on my own instead of looking up answers.

I am taking it really easy in my game. My sim has been building her skills and relationships. I knew up front the pack would have limited replay value, and I want to get the most out of it. I figure I don't at to the end until sometime this weekend, but I'm already 15 or 16 sim days.

Fully vanilla game, no cheats, and no googling or searching out answers.

I haven't yet cleared the story, but I expect 15+ will come close close. It's almost three weeks now since the first sim arrived in town and my primary investigator just got the third popup (the one after discovering mother). One of the botanists has reluctantly started on a vaccine, but he's also very close to mother (not infected, though), so I do not see myself clicking through the next objectives without some more infighting. This "team" of mine is just too fractured in their motives and goals.

If there's a hidden timer running in the background I'm so hosed!

EDIT: Not looking at guides, but I used bb.showhiddenobjects for extra spore filters. I need more than one hazard suit, but that "scan 15 spores" objective is just too grindy to do more than once.

Depends on the sim, if they have certain skills already under their belt, it won't take them as long as a new sim without any skills. I don't know how long it took my sim to complete this. I ended up switching sims because my first sim got really sick, and nothing was helping her, and she couldn't venture too far away from her toilet.

What skills do they need? I don't remember there being any.

I thought it was real life days :D
In sim days, probably 6 or 7. And I took it easy.
