How Long Do Tans Last?

My Sim's working on the island aspiration so she needed to get a tan but she looks TERRIBLE. Anyone know how long these last?

EDIT: Also, I don't know if it matters at all, but she's a mermaid.

I thought (was hoping) it would only last as long as the moodlet but that's gone and she's still tan.

    Ugh, how annoying :/ I'll have to hold off on any pictures until then.

    But thanks! I was a little paranoid that, since it outlasted the moodlet, it might be glitched so I'm relieved that's not the case.
