How long does a childhood/teen phase last?

I'm not real sure since I have several game saves and I go back and forth often especially when frustrated or bored. LOL I've heard that if your "caregiver" sim talks to them about their phase that the phase will be shorter. I currently have one who is in the loud phase and she turned up the radio full blast which made her sister's boyfriend very angry. (In that game, a teen and her child sister lost their mom and the teen had to quit school and raise her sister -- inspired by a YouTube LP. That teen is now an adult with a live in bf and twins of her own.)

Hm, I'll see if not talking to them about the phase makes it shorter. So far I've done that almost every time and I think the phases have lasted for two to three days. I'm not entirely sure either, which is why I asked. It seems no one really knows though. Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. :)

Thanks, I gave it a read. It's very useful when it comes to knowing what phases to expect but unfortunately it doesn't say how long they last. I guess we're not meant to know. :)

Seems like 3-4 days, though. I'm not sure; I aged up my sims before the phase completed, though.

I'm leaning towards 3-4 days too. Two of my Sim children aged up before the phase completed but the ones who've had one afterwards had it for at least two days. I lost track afterwards but 3-4 days sounds about right. I got phases you can't really do anything about except ask about them too - Mean Streak and Clingy. I will be curious what happens once I get a phase the parents can influence/talk more with their kids about. On the whole I'm really loving them so far.

I think it depends. One of my kids has had Picky Eater for over a week, and another had I'm a Bear for only one day.

There are things you can do to reduce the time.

My sim has been in a mean streak forever and I don't like because her character really isn't that mean and it's lasted forever.

I have had a bear for three days now. Only annoying because I would like to see her wear something other than a bear suit and she looks so clumsy but cute.
