I have mine study until the 'confident' moodlet pops up after every class. They come home from class and do their homework, and then study for the class. That formula seems to work - my Sims have all had A+ grades in everything.
I know that 'well prepared' confident moodlet. Did you do that formula although your related skill with degree were already all maxed? or are the skills are getting higher while doing it?
