I have only played my NEW Erik Cantrell save twice in this past week. I'm afraid I'm suffering from a bit of Erik-fatigue. And, I'm uncertain just how many awards I should have him go for. Every time he licenses a song, he gets nominated, as if there is no stopping him at this point. I could curb his winning streak two ways. 1. Not license the work or 2. Have him fail to attend the Show. So, I have to ask are any of you waiting to see him win more? And if so, how many more? Or have you had enough?Please, and thank you, in advance.

I haven't followed Erik's story apart from your posts in general discussion but I think it's safe to say he's already a legend. You could also have him go for broke and when he becomes an elder, have him retire. He could retire now and become a producer, and someone else take the reins. I'm not familiar with the Road to Fame mod so I'm not sure id that's something you could do.

Meh, go for broke. Yes, the man is a legend, many times over, but how many times have you seen how high he can go? lol

I only ever got him up to the 20th nomination and then I managed to lose that save before the Accolade Show came around. Face/palm. Part of my drive to go farther, is that for many of the Erik saves, he couldn't achieve even a single nomination. This, in its own way, is making up for all of that lost time.

Time to focus on new goals? Let the singer/s of next gen follow their father's footsteps when ready?

I agree with Lenny_Ogg. Go for what makes you and Erik happy. Also, you could save here and try something out, then, if you didn't like the outcome or aren't enjoying it, roll the save back and try something else. If Erik were to retire, perhaps one of his kids could follow in his footsteps? Maybe Erik could focus on helping support his kids in their dreams, as he has lived his. Question though, how many starlight accolades was the goal? How many did you (and he) hope to win?

@GalacticGal Also, perhaps try having the awards at a different venue. Even a different world, maybe. I think that if you use the "Hottest Spot In Town" lot trait, that almost any lot in any world can host the Accolades. I've never tried having multiple lots though. In my game, I replaced Studio PBP with an old movie theater I found on the Gallery and modified for the Starlight Accolades.

I've only lightly followed from posts here, but I think a legend is a legend and he won't get any more legendary by driving you to juice ;)

Erik's status as a living legend is set. As others have mentioned maybe it's time for him to take a step back from the spotlight and spend a bit more time with the family and help to nurture the next wave of artists. He shouldn't stop performing and writing, but do so a little less frequently instead. I think he would be a wonderful mentor to up and coming artists. They can learn from his mistakes and his successes.?

I think you would enjoy using poses once you get used to them. When you're used to just pausing and pressing 'C' it feels really odd and fiddly to set them up. You have to stop and set up the teleport statues, or use the summon feature in MCCC, but on the plus side you don't have to worry about them moving and ruining your perfect shot. I love all the shots that poses make possible because of the limitations of the game's animations.
