How many households do you actively play?

I have four that I really really want to play but currently only am doing two haha! I am wondering if people just stick to one or two or play several and if they play several, how hard is that?

I am currently playing
1. Large Family, parents who both stay at home (but one works at home) and 6 kids. I age them very slow, have a couple of mods I just added for storyline, but I have no intention of continuing this one past the first generation.
2. 100 Baby Challenge

I also really want to do
3. TV Mania: Taking my favourite TV Show and recreating all the characters, giving them as similar jobs as I can and trying to recreate all the relationships in the show. (My fav show takes place in a government agency so the characters are coworkers but the family lives are mentioned and love interests are mostly on their coworkers or in show so possible... the job would be a bit hard to recreate as they are government scientist who return time travelling dinosaurs to the correct eras but maybe i'll just make them spies haha)

4. A fake legacy challenge. I say fake because I don't feel like counting points and I plan to start without buying that item that increases taxes, but I do want to start with 0 dollars and no house/items. (I will just buy a big plot, bulldoze and spend the rest on gifts with the phone and then give the gifts to random strangers on the street until I have exactly $0 Sims. I will start homeless in winter and then try to earn a career as an actor I think but eventually play 10 generations all with different jobs for the parents. So similar to legacy for sure just a couple minor changes that disqualify it.

I'm just not sure if it'd be too hard to play 4 different games at once lol.

  • I play rotationally, stopping by every single house at some point. There's about 50-60 of them. I normally need 2 sim years to get by all of them, so I keep notes to know where something interesting will or should take place. I like this way, because i often focus just as much on the community aspects of the game (although I need to make up some of those details myself).

See my "As Sims Go By" and "How I Play" series on Youtube for more :)

I have a main save (my not so berry challenge) which I play 90% of the time atm, then I have my original save which I haven't played a lot recently but like to pop in occasionally, my Get Famous save (on the back burner a lil) and my vampire save.
  • I have my main household. Once in a while I may start a new and play that for a time, but I always return to my main couple sooner or later.
  • I have about 25-28 in my main save that I rotate between, then I have three saves that focus on single households - a regular legacy, a random legacy and a Drifter Challenge save.
  • Like a lot of others have already said, I like to play just one. I tend to just do legacy style households (and I say legacy style because I don't keep score either, and I just roll dice for traits because I honestly forget to keep track of everyone's traits).

I have 3 main saves right now that I'm playing.

Save Number 1: The 100 baby challenge. I don't rotate or play any other families in that save. Just my current momma's house.

Save Number 2: The Drifter Challenge. I'm on the 10th house (10 generation), about to be on the 11th. Again, the active heir is the only family I play in this save, so only one household played in this save.

Save Number 3: Is my BaCC save. I currently only have 3 households I play in this save that I rotate between, but that will be changing real soon.
  • I have the main Generation 1 household with 4/6 of the children + the parents.

I'm planning on them having 26 children, each one for a letter of the alphabet and sort of a baby challenge :)

There's then two households that are Generation 2.
Adrian, child #1, lives with his wife, three kitties, and newborn daughter.

Brenden, child #2, lives with some roommates. I don't plan on the rest of the children having as many kids as Gen. 1.

I like how it's going right now, since I love rotational playing, but I'm not sure how it will work out once 6-10 of the children are out of the house :) I might end up picking and choosing the ones I want to focus on later in the legacy.
  • Thanks for the answers all :) I think I'm gonna play my 2 or maybe 3, I'll want on my TV show land one until after I'm done with my main family who are currently my favourite and whom I age super slow but don't want to continue the next generation or stop aging altogether so they won't be around forever. Then I'm going to use that same main family as random extra townies on new game saves in the background of my other challenges/game saves just so I can still say hi haha!

I might start the fake legacy challenge one now or I might just wait until after I'm done the 100 baby challenge, depending on how I feel, but for now I'll stick with the two until I need a change.
