How many images of family do your sims have

I always feel like I'm either taking too many family photo's or not enough. So how many do you guys think should be up on walls in your sims houses? What types of events deserve photos? Where in the house do you put them?

none, because somehow my game is lagging if I put pics on the wall :(
  • I take a lot of pictures but hang just a few in the wall. I'm trying now to do some kind of memorial. Leave a beautiful wall with pics from one generation to another until it has all the legacy of the family. Usually my sims take pics on normal moments. I always forget to let them take pics on the special moments. I'm too busy taking screenshots myself :)

It depends on the family and the home. For my main household I prefer vampires to have no reflection so my vampire cannot be captured on camera, but a painter friend of his has painted a lovely portrait of him holding his toddler daughter for her to hang on her bedroom wall. It was painted on a really sunny day at the pier. There are also two professional photos of her looking cute - one in the lounge and the other in her parent's bedroom. I will probably add another in their bedroom when she ages up. I think that's just enough to add a personal touch and show how proud they are without things getting too cluttered. My vampire also has a small photo of his (now deceased) best friend in his bedroom on top of the fireplace to remember him by. I do hope we get the option to place photos on surfaces at some point.

My other sim couple have two couple photos on the wall as you go up the staircase. They were also done with the photography studio, but you could easily imagine they are wedding or career related photos (they are both entertainers). I plan for them to have at least three children so that means lots of family photos in the lounge, bedroom and hallway. They will probably be professional photos done by a photographer rather than for particular events. Some events that I sometimes like to take photos for are weddings, birthdays, parties, vacations...
  • I have a cc frame that you can put on surfaces (tables, desks, shelves, etc). I might have went a bit overboard with them in some of my houses. Though it really does depend on the sims.

My 100 baby challenge sim, Shanna, has pictures of her kids (she's nearly on 40) all over her house, on all surfaces, wall shelves, her desk, bedside table. Everywhere. She even has some on her walls.

Other sims only have a few scattered here or there throughout their house.

And a couple doesn't have any at all (yet).

I really wish we had the ability to turn screenshots snapped with the C key into pictures that we could put on sims walls, without having to go make it as cc ourselves.

I'm not sure, some families don't get much time but if they end up in rotation they at least get a picture of every member of the house and the toddlers may get more than one pic. While the main family is always going to have a wall of pics somewhere even with duplicates for the eldest to take with them when they move out. Sometimes random pics even of the holidays or new out fits as they 'grow' it adds up.

I take several family photos. Some I hang randomly around the house and others I choose a wall for that current generation and hang the photos. I typically hang them in an office type room.

My current household I have family photo hanging in the living room above the fire place with the portriat on the wall. They are at different ages so the pictures aren't exactly the same. I'll also put family photo when they're all grown above the fireplace next to the one where they were all children/toddler.

This is a wall in the living room that is next to the master bedroom off to the left side of the living room. Here I've placed photos of the first generation through each age up. Except the founders are on the top and I have individual YA with couples pic then when they are Elders I'll have individual Elder pics with a elder couple pic.

I have other pics spread out through the house from family vacations and the kids with their friends. On one wall that I haven't decided yet will go a wedding pic of the heir and each wedding there after of the heir sim to be.
  • Not many at all. I only just recently discovered that the camera is actually useful. :D
