I have a cc frame that you can put on surfaces (tables, desks, shelves, etc). I might have went a bit overboard with them in some of my houses. Though it really does depend on the sims.
My 100 baby challenge sim, Shanna, has pictures of her kids (she's nearly on 40) all over her house, on all surfaces, wall shelves, her desk, bedside table. Everywhere. She even has some on her walls.
Other sims only have a few scattered here or there throughout their house.
And a couple doesn't have any at all (yet).
I really wish we had the ability to turn screenshots snapped with the C key into pictures that we could put on sims walls, without having to go make it as cc ourselves.
