But below it had levels of 'cold-war' era cells and interrogation rooms. Officially didn't exist. The plot was that Rohber Calhouni, a gangster, found this and started modifying it to his whims.

I haven't played it in awhile. Could take more screenshots.
One level down is comfortable now. Two levels down has cleared some of the cells for living space.

- I'm using all buildable levels right now. I'm playing the apocalyse challenge by pinstar (with updated rules by poopsiesims) but you start with only being able to build on an 8x8 plot. But there are no restrictions on building up or down. :D so we have 9 8x8 levels, counting the rooftop where the rocket ship is docked. It's probably the weirdest build I've ever made.

Cool! That sounds like an interesting challenge! I'm up for that!
Awe you aloud to build out a bit for looks (not usable) like the terrain and stuff? - dianed4855 years agoSeasoned AceOh I forgot about that, it’s nice. I wish we could have more than four levels up though, I don’t use basements that often but I wouldn’t mind 5 or 6 floors.
- GroovyLady19685 years agoSeasoned AceI sometimes build the rocket ship underground. It's so big so I hide it. Start at the bottom and copy the room up 4 levels. 3 levels with with tall walls. Remove floors and ceilings and put a fence around it. I used to have to build a section for stairs but with ladders it's easier now. I don't even have to open the top level if I use moo to place the ship because it does not actually need an opening. Basements are cool. Create less lag with no camera bounce.
- Sketch7935 years agoSeasoned AceI think the main difference you want to be aware of is that camera angles are harder to manage, especially in the lowest levels.

After reading this and been working on my building skills.
Time to make Diego's (My fav Sim) workout room in his not yet created basement.
Time to splash the cash Diego. You have earnt it! ??
Any differences to be aware of when doing lower levels? Compared to upper levels?
There can be issues with the top level basement causing terrain issues if it goes too far beyond the house walls (something that happened when terrain tools were introduced). I'll usually build just the staircase from the ground floor on the top level, then whatever space I need on the second level (for example when I added a basement to Dream Weavers Way for my spellcaster's cauldron).- GroovyLady19685 years agoSeasoned Ace@stilljustme2 Just lower the basement a little using the up and down arrows and the terrain levels out.
