I usually save every 3 sim hours or after i finish a room …. one time I completed an entire basement, and forgot to save. Instead I went to live mode to direct a sim to an object, and the game crashed...
Another time i forgot to save was during a flash food warning. It didn't seem that windy outside so I just played the sims for about a half hr. without saving. That was a mistake, lights in my house flickered and I lost power.
It didn't take long after that, that I realized how important it is to save =D
Oh I hear ya about the flood warnings lol, living in Florida we get constant brown outs and pc shuts off and on few times a month, past week it's been few times a day and to the point it burned out my network card, luckily I have built in wifi so can still connect to ea and play sims.
