How Much Room?

So I am looking into getting a new Macbook Air and I wanted to try and put my Sims 4 on it. Can I buy just the normal core one or do I need more room so I don't run out?

  • Regarding Macs, I recommend going with one that is equipped with a dedicated graphics card - which you find on a Macbook Pro.

However, this is the only Macbook Air I would recommend - as the Intel Iris Plus is much better than other integrated.

It also has a 512GB SSD, which will be enough room.

Would it be possible for you to purchase a Windows PC?
  • I do have a PC that my games currently run on but it's old and I need to upgrade. I also need to upgrade my Mac which is slowly starting to stop working (worse then my PC) and I can only do one or the other right now. So I might just do the Mac first. But yes I do have a PC I Just wanted to combine them if I could. But are PCs better for it then?

  • When it comes to gaming, Windows is the better choice.

It is really up to you with what you want to do - I recommend going with the Macbook Air I recommended above if going Mac.

For Windows, I can recommend upgrades/new desktop if you decide on Windows.
  • Ok thank-you! I have MacBook Air already that I need to upgrade because it's just old. And I'll keep the PC for the games. Thanks for the advice! :)

  • I just want to let you know that I'm playing TS4 on MacAir Mid 2013. I have all the GP, EP (except IL) & a few of the SP. It's playable even at high setting. It's just that at some point it can be so lagging when you're playing at a large lot or with a big household. So, I reckon that the later MacAir should be better than mine. However, if you really want to enjoy the ultra setting, it would be much better to play on a gaming laptop or PC where you can upgrade it anytime.
