I actually have set up a "realistic" lifespan in my game where 4 days is one year (based on how long Sims' pregnancies are), and for me its like this:
Baby 0-2
Toddler 3-4
Child 5-12
Teenager 13-18 (Even though 19 is still teen, they're also an adult...)
Young Adult 19-30
Adult 31-60
Elder 61-80 (So Sims will live a minimum of 80 "years" with my settings)
