My current oldest save is only as old as Seasons. But, I have numerous save files going all the way back to the beginning of TS4. Each save file focuses on one Sim household for a challenge or just general gameplay. I don't play rotationally. Many of the challenge saves were completed and I Just stopped playing them to try a different challenge.
Some are incomplete challenges that were temporarily abandoned for something new. I hope to get back to them someday, but some of them I might not ever play again. I have a horrible habit of not sticking to one save file for very long. I'm like that dog in UP, a new pack comes out or a different challenge catches my eye and off I go, "Squirrel!" I have never deleted any save files, so I have them all. I just take them out and store somewhere else on my hard drive until needed.
The oldest save file I have was created just after the game was released with a Sim I made and brought over from the CAS Demo. I haven't played with her since Outdoor Retreat though. This thread is making me nostaligic for some of my old Sims. I might just have to load up some of them and see if their file still works. :)
