how old is your oldest save ?

I remember the day when my child came to me, she was really little (6-7) and asked me to buy her sims game. I bought it for her after she completed all chores to make money for it. When she did it, sims 4 came out. So I bought sims 4 for her too. My save is that old. I have sims 3 that we purchased but never opened, and we have sims 4, purchased for her, me and my other child. I still play the same save. I was trying to play new save. I even have 2 families there, I liked them, but never loved. My first save has 13 played families at the moment. All of them are 3 to 7 generations. I can't stop playing it. If it would be gone, my sims 4 game would be gone.
So how old is your oldest save and how much you love it ? Pictures of your oldest, but current save are welcome.
I'll post my pictures tomorrow. I'm on another computer right now.

For Sims 4, I'm still on my original save from November 2014, thanks to the rotational play feature.

Sims 2 has the oldest save from August 2014. Although that game only has one game save. I pretty much only used Belladonna Cove. What an amazing map.

Sims 3 has the oldest save from February 2011. I don't use my old saves, but they are still saved. It is kind of like a time capsule. In sims 3, I keep starting new games every few months.

The funny thing is when I first got the game, I thought you have to use 'save as' for every household. I had about 5 saves going on at that time.
Then I went through a phase (which I learned from sims 2) where I would go back to my home lot every time before saving. To this day I still have that habit.

It is convenient how you can have several households within one save. I like the current save method.

My oldest AND ONLY SAVE I PLAY is from the debut of the game in September 2014!!! I have tried a couple times to make new saves but can never get into them and often move that household to my main save. My sims are so intertwined and I have TONS of screenshots from my generations over their lives. I have at least 15 households I play at various times though I often move sims around and bulldoze lots to build anew. I love playing the game as a soap opera so all my sims have histories full of drama and intrigue!
  • I guess about a month old. Tbh I always get tired and delete everything and start over. It might happen again soon.

My first ever er test family, they where only meant to explore the awesome that are toddlers, my Adler fam-bam and now look at them, almost a year old 3 days from now and I am attached and loving them <3 :)
  • I have kept all my major game saves since I started at the end of 2014. I usually start a new save when something major comes out, like toddlers, vampires, pets, etc. I also have two saves that I downloaded from other players (good for rotational play). So at this time I have a total of 18 saves and right now, even though some of them were started at the beginning, none of them are dated earlier than May-June, 2017.
  • There's this family I've been playing around with since I bought TS4 Seasons when it first came out. I'm on generation 3 right now with the oldest child a teenager. I decide who I will have as an heir/heiress based on their genetics. I have them marry and have children with townies or premade sims. But in other sims games I've done legacies that last 10+ generations. I've done the 100 baby challenge, A-Z baby challenge and others. I will post some pictures later. I'm about to play. I've been focused on playing the game and lacking on taking pictures.
  • The oldest save I have is the one I started with. I got the game at Christmas time and it was basically my playtest save, because I never played any Sims games before I got Sims 4. I don't play that original save anymore, because there's so much HISTORY there, I learned so much in that save about how to play the game.

The first big lesson I learned in that save: I accidentally aged a sim up prematurely because I didn't know aging could happen autonomously, so he died way before his wife did. I was still a newbie at the game and didn't know I could save households in CAS so easily, otherwise I would've saved him. Ryland the Random Townie is the only one for my precious first sim, Jenny Tibbs. I'll never be able to get him back, and I don't think I can remake him using pictures  I don't even remember his traits! His legacy lives on, though, through his EXTENSIVE list of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, even great-GREAT-grandchildren! They live all over Willow Creek, and have even moved into part of Oasis Springs. If I played that save again, there's no doubt in my mind that they'd spread like a plague into the other worlds, these guys breed so much.

I have another family in that save that took over Oasis Springs like the Tibbs took over Willow Creek (they even inter married at some point.) I had the criminal mom take care of her teen daughter, the daughter eventually marrying Alexander Goth. I didn't know how big of a deal the Goths were at the time. Mortimer was dead, and Bella and Cassandra were elders, so I ended up killing/deleting them.

My next oldest save was started when Get To Work came out, purely to play with that expansion.

3rd oldest is my Legacy save, which is the oldest one I currently play. I started it before Get Together came out, and my founder (my self-sim who ended up marrying Bella Goth) ended up dying in Windenburg after painting one final painting there. I made sure to stop playing until the expansion came out so he could die seeing a new world (right in front of the fountain by the café! He made a beautiful painting too!)

I have a lot more other saves that I play, but my legacy save (all of my saves are legacies, really, lol) is the oldest I still play.
