How playable is the game rn?
I still haven't updated or got the pack because I keep hearing of too many bugs, but I'm planning to now however I want to know is there really alot of bugs or its tolarable? I'm planning to start ...

Depends. If you get Error 134 then you're out of luck, it will make your game unplayable after hours to days, again and again.
If it's Error 102/122 and you can find the corrupted family/sim its frustrating trial and error.
You can mod out a few of the Problems with NAPs, but that's not the way it's supposed to be. And there are some other bugs that can crash your game or make it really exhausting to play. The Sims Bug Board on EAAnswers if full of Problems with the Patch/EP.
after some fed up Players caused some turmoil on twitter with #unplayablesims SimGuruNick and SimGuruFrost posted today that they're really working hard on the bugs and other issues, but they still have no ETA. Just don't delete your old save files if you have issues.
