My game is very much playable, like it's always been. I just can't play my saves with big gardens or pets right now. I play vanilla game and I rarely have any problems with the game. This time after the latest patch and EL has been the worst for me.

Yesterday I played with a Sim that has mid size garden and it worked well. She's growing flowers and none of them reverted to dirt piles or changed quality. I played few game days and everything was fine.
I've also played with a family and a dog that never disappeared but on other saves I've had pets disappear very quickly. I wish I knew what triggers the gardening and pets bugs.

I have no problems with toddlers, they can be fed on high chairs normally. I always click the high chair when I want to feed the toddler, I never put the toddler first on the chair. It works perfectly for me.

Also I've had no problems with NAPS. They haven't spread on other worlds or even on other neighborhoods, not even the infamous sharing is caring (I hate that one).
The only thing that really annoys me is the fact that when I play a save with eco footprint and NAPS disabled I get messages that a certain NAP has been voted. I don't think the chosen NAP is active, though.

Can toddlers still grab a plate and eat on the floor/couch? I never liked high chairs and I heard toddlers can't grab food anymore..

Yes, they can. I use both choices all the time. Sometimes it's faster to use a high chair, because when the toddlers grab food they often walk to the furthest possible chair to eat.

This started for me yesterday! except game time is moving! And it's a brand new save game! My sim seemed to be standing there all night or all day! I'm solving it by travelling somewhere random and coming back. I've tried clearing notifications and she only has 4 items in the household inventory!

So if it is lag, how long in game time, on average does it take to unlag? Am I super impatient! I suppose I thought it was my game rather than a thing!
I did discover graphics 'autochose' had chosen the onboard graphics rather than my dedicated card!

So now I'm going to try patience. 'Waiting!'

When I have my fps on, if I'm not playing any household, I can get 50 & above, but when I play with my household, it can be as little as 10 or less. What I did was, whenever I feel there's a lag, I save my game, in which I'm not sure if this is a good solution, then the game runs smoother. I didn't actually time how long does it took the game to unlag, but i reckon you to turn on your fps so that you can see how it changes depending on the current lot your Sims are at that time.

Also, I play on Mac, and most of my graphic settings are set on high, so, it could be one of the reasons of my lag too. But, if you choose auto, then it will be the optimal setting that your PC can run.

  • Hmm...

I play in a new save after the patch and so far I have no problems.

The cat stays at home and the garden produces veggies and stuff. I have N.A.P.s turned off and so far I haven’t seen anything in my game.

My little corner of the world just got a green eco-footprint but that is such a recent thing so I cannot say if it will flip back and forth in my game.

I have had one weird incident so far. When trying to fertilize a flower it bugged back to a little dirt pile. So if I just stick to watering, weeding and harvesting I am good so far. Will let the bees work on the plants instead.
  • For some reason, clicking on the notifications and closing them again seems to fix the lag... I don't know why it works, but it works for me. I seem to get bad lag when I enter build mode and when I go back to live mode and this fixes that.
