I would say either this option or semi-realistic fits how I play. I play with families, and for the most part they do normal, everyday stuff, or at least what’s considered normal in the context of the game. I don’t try to make my game as close to real life as possible, if something happens that wouldn’t happen in real life but is perfectly normal in the game, then I don’t care. I play the sims to escape real life. I let them age and die, and some of them will struggle with money or have relationship drama, but most of them are happy and successful. I cheat their needs, use reward store potions, and do other “unrealistic” stuff like letting same-sex couples have biological children. I also don’t really play with occults that often but they’re not forbidden or anything. I don’t care if I see them in my game or even if my sims become friends with them. I’ve also had a couple of alien babies, too. Eventually I might play the other occults but for the most part I like normal, human sims.
