- babajayne5 years agoSeasoned AceAfter the first November patch, my game ran well and I installed SE, too. It was running well until I commented here saying so. Then it crashed, but only twice. I kept playing but just saved obsessively. I don’t want to answer the question again because I don’t want to jinx myself. Let’s just say I am only not playing today because I have shopping and cooking to do. I'd rather be playing!
- Sharooonia5 years agoSeasoned AceMy game is so glitchy, cooking is driving me insane, my sims keep dropping actions and standing around doing nothing, random sims will just walk into my sims homes uninvited. I'm over the hype of Snowy Escape now so I think I'm maybe going to go back to my Sims 3 game for a bit until a bug patch is released. :D
- I play Vanilla because I have had to many problems arise with mods and killed to many computers, on that note, the only bugs I have come across SO FAR are the Father Christmas, Some plants die off for a few days then regrow. The Gardening works out much better in a greenhouse/indoors. The carrot plant is bonked out, it is super dark compared to all the other plants. Deep Conversation is missing from My Sims conversation wheel. I have had more than the normal amount of fire's. All sims catch fire while cooking at some point and time. I think it has something to do with the stove depreciating in value so the stove may need replaced from time to time just like in real life. The porch townies are super annoying. People are knocking and ringing doorbell at all hours. Some of the "make a resolutions" are not working. You can complete them but it is not recognized and then Your Sim is sad because they failed. Stairs are glitchy. So far that is all I have run across but I will keep on top of it and post more if I come across it.
- Beardedgeek725 years agoSeasoned AceI have two major issues, on old, one new: (admittedly I have turned off eco footprint so I can't say if that works or not).
1. Washing machines and dryers just spontaniously bug out and cannot be used still, a bug that has never been fixed and a lot of people have. I suspect, just as with the double festival being stuck bug, it is simply a bug the dev team has given up on since the bug is still filed but haven't been worked on since 2018.
2. The Stairs can't be used unless outside or surrounded on all sides by floor bug.
Also, after moving my house to another lot today half my plants are reeking (green smoke, aka stench from them) but nobody reacts to it and there is no ill effects for anyone except the visual "smoke". - Jayel-15 years agoSeasoned AceSo from what I'm reading, things are pretty frustrating for most people.
I wonder if any future patches will fix these problems.
It's all sounding how ts3 went towards the end. - I had 1 crash before the Hot Fix, but since the Hot Fix my game was very laggy and when I tried to save, it kept going for more then half an hour. Then I manually closed the game, because everything was stuck saving and I lost all my progress, which wasn't much, because the game was so slow. I tried without cc, but there was no difference. I'll try some more stuff this weekend.
So for me the fix made it worse, but my computer installed some Windows updates in the same week, so maybe that's the problem. - HaneulFier5 years agoSeasoned Ace

How is your game now? Do you plan to get SE? I think the December patch will break more things because of the big changes they're planning to skintones and makeup. So I'd patch now or plan to wait until Jan/Feb. - Jayel-15 years agoSeasoned Ace

Thankfully my game's fine as I'd been here and read about what was happening after the November patch before I knew there was a patch. Usually it's announced on the top of the forums, but for some reason that one wasn't, or I would have downloaded it straight away. I was really lucky. So, I was going to do the next one, but got scared and didn't. I've been playing offline and think it'll be that way for a long time. That's why I felt I had to start this thread. I spent the last few months refurbishing all my houses and venues, and feel I've finally got my perfect worlds and would hate to have anything jeopardize that - that and all my Sims generations.
And no, I have no intensions in getting SE, or any future packs. In my mind too many packs start impacting on your game.
I'll just hang out now for ts5!
And, I'm definitely not going to do the December one either. It's really hard as curiosity makes me want to, but the thought of a messed up game bothers me more. - My sims have all developed the need to cook. Constantly. It's literally all they do unless I force them to do something else. I let the game run unsupervised for 5 minutes and came back to counters full of food...

My sims have the same problem. Also they keep getting distracted while cooking. Like they just walk away half way through and start doing something else. It's really frustrating.
