Hi guys,I decided to pick up the game again after a while and I wanted to try and play some houses that aren't my usual type of houses. I wanted something like Bob and Eliza, in which their story says that they are struggling to keep their marriage together. I wanted to try and play a couple like that, to create some drama between sims and work to improve things.However, even with completely opposing traits, and autonomy turned on, nothing happens except friendly interactions raising their friendship bar to the maximum. Even when I try and prompt it with one mean interaction, it goes back to being friendly almost immediately. To test this out, I made a totally blank slate household and tried to get two sims to get into any sort of fight, and they just wouldn't do it.And to specify, I don't want to always have to click mean interactions and make the fight myself. It'd be great if they had random interactions throughout the day lowering their romance or friendship levels. I'd really love some drama in my life simulation game that comes naturally, like it does in Tomodachi Life. Is this even possible? How on earth do I do this? Has anybody done this in their game?

No, it’s not possible in the Sims 4. Everything is sunshine & rainbows all the time. Can’t have any negativity at all. One of the many things wrong with TS4.

I suggest mod Have Some Personality Please. Sims autonomously talk, no idle chat, and they use interactions depending on their mood/situation/relationship. Evil and mean sims will be mean.Also, latest patch brought some trait improvements, so goofballs will be a lot more michiveous and sometimes prank toilets. Some other traits are improved too, but I played with goofball the most.

Try having a mean sim. They are supposedly even more mean after the latest patch.

It's more of a story thing the autonomy seems to favor the higher connection, since I have sentiments it's much more obvious, but you'll want to play director and lead them with your own story before anything sticks. Makes it worthwhile as you control part of it as sims will control it being happy so you're watching decline rather than it just being lovers to enemies. Though I've felt like that with all the sims games I've played most things take a touch of control don't just expect that what is negative will just exist because it's written Bob and Eliza are totally fine when you do that.

I had a sim become sad and jealous because Guidry flirted with his jealous and hot headed wife. Took me forever to bring them back together and for him to stop thinking of the betrayal. I had to banish Guidry. The wife gets angry out of the blue but she recently started to take care of her anger issues by talking to the mirror or taking cold showers. Sometimes she shouts forbidden words. When she's angry she usually takes it out on the dollhouse but I always get her to fix it back. They are a bit dysfunctional but entertaining.

No, it’s not possible in the Sims 4. Everything is sunshine & rainbows all the time. Can’t have any negativity at all. One of the many things wrong with TS4.

Mods. That's the only way to make any type of drama to happen autonomously.
Though Penny Pizazz became friends with my current household and she came over and autonomously flirted with both my main sim and her husband right in front of each other and that caused some moodlets regarding cheating because of the new sentiment system.

I use lots of mods and let nature take its course lol doesn't take long for sims to get into situations that cause drama in my one save everyone in the household has a festering grudge against my one sim and now they all have get shades of schadenfreude when she is feeling miserable or bad stuff happens to her they fight on their own too

This is so true and sometimes it's infuriating. I want to see drama in the game and it's disappointing the only drama happens when there's a fire, someone freezes to death which doesn't happen much anymore and well, that's actually a good thing or the 3 seconds someone's feelings get hurt because of flirting.

I want to see barfights or something. Like a guy flirts with another guys girl and instead of the guy getting mad at his girlfriend he actually gets mad at the guy flirting and they get into a bar fight. They start shoving each other, speaking in angry Simlish, they break out into a big furious dust ball of a fight, then suddenly a bunch of sailors come in, join the fight, there's furniture flying and bottles breaking. That would so awesome! Instead we get "I'm so sad because that guy flirted with her. Doesn't she love me anymore?" Which doesn't even make a bit of sense and I'm left pounding my forehead on the keyboard while they're having a big happy conversation and becoming the best of friends in the whole, whole wide world.

Their relationship is good. She does get the occasional jealousy insecurities, but otherwise they are good. Her anger issues are her own not because of anything he's done. I was expecting her to show more jealousy as he is very friendly with their single neighbour but so far there has been no drama because of that. Now I'm trying to get her friendly with the neighbour so they can have girly meet-ups for gossip, coffee and what not.
