how to do the addition gigs?

I was able to add small rooms in two of my gigs, one on the ground floor, and the other on the existing second floor. The issue I had was the budget, after adding a tiny room (closet?), and adjusting the roof, there was no money to decorate. I wasn’t able to “show” the client anything, because I was only able to add flooring and wallpaper without going over budget. The challenge I had was you can’t remove items in the house, so I had to find empty space for a doorway. Another issue was it won’t let you drag/expand walls, I had to use the room tool from the side of the house pulling outward, otherwise you get a message saying you can’t change walls in the house (or something like that). It was really difficult and I don’t think it’s working as intended.

yup, best to stay away from addition gigs, the budget is never enough to cover the decorating after you have built the addition!
Or like me yesterday you get a gig to put an addition in an apartment which is obviously impossible.

I'm now going to send them out alone until this career is fixed... and use this pack as a stuff pack, there are to much that is broken or need to be fixed.

Just had a gig for a level addition for the Elderberrys and the only thing I was allowed to do was remove half the roof! Obviously it was impossible to do anything so it seems like some gigs are broken and some arent!?

Definitely a glitch in the pack. Can't do anything to add the room that the client is asking for. Can't even add a door and the only place you can add the room is floating off the ground! Thankfully I saved right after taking the gig but before going to the actual job so I'll just send her alone to this one and avoid any additions until they release a patch. But how annoying! Building is my favorite part of the game!

This is still bugged. I still can't add an addition on. I have the perfect house to do it and the game won't allow it. No matter what area I choose the game states I can't add on an addition. Another flopped gig for my designer.

That is great idea. Never thought of that. Exiting now without saving and reloading to send alone.

I've completely stopped playing that career until they release a patch. Sad how much money we pay for these games and all of the addon content and they are so glitchy and need to be patched as soon as we get them. For as much money as we pay you would think they would test these things before releasing them a bit more strenuously!
