I didn't know any of those things about laundry. I rarely put in the washers and dyers. It just seems like such a waste of my Sims (and my) time.
I've tried using the butler to do laundry, but they just want to constantly cook.
Wish there was a selection thingie to pick what the butler does, or does not do.
Also, I wish maids could be live in like the butlers.
