How to fill proper laundry in the Sims 4!

I do like doing laundry in the game and little over half of my households do laundry. I also have 2 laundromats on community lots. But I do find it best to keep the laundry baskets in the same room as the machines. It doesn't prevent the clothes to go into them at all when my Sims change and it actually saves time especially when the buildings are on the bigger size or multi levels. Especially if the household employ maids or butlers who tend to take FOREVER to gather up the laundry. They go from one basket to the machine. Then up again to the next one and take that load to the machine and repeat same action again! Another I find useful is that even though you put clothes into the washer, you don't have to start the machine straight away. You can load it a few times before starting it if you want. I find that last thing especially useful when playing my off the grid lot where water and electricity has to be used sparingly.
