To continue raising conflict resolution for teens, you can have the teen select "repair a bad relationship" (I'm sure that's not the correct phrasing but it's obvious if it's available) on other sims.
Yes I've seen that interaction. My teens are not under my control, so I can try this after my kiddie children first. :D
