How to locate ghost sim?

This game is going to be the death of me. I have all these awesome stories in my head for my 4 families and it keeps throwing wrenches in them. And this one family can't seem to get a break.

First, the game moves Ace out and I had to move him back to his late grandmother's home. And surprise! He's pregnant. So, he had to deal with that and his jealous live-in not-yet-girlfriend.

Now... he's dead. This winter my sims game has claimed 22 sims that I know of, because they freeze to death. Now, I'm all for random things happenings, so, I'll go with most things, but I don't want to go with this.

Another family heir, Jami died and I only noticed because I found his grave in my active houses family inventory. I was able to cheat him back to life and move him home (because I'm not done playing him.) But I had his grave.

I can't locate Ace's grave. I won't be super devastated if I can't get him back... his now-girlfriend always struck me as a murderer, so I can go with it, but does anyone know how to locate a sim grave?

  • I can never find them either.. I don’t know if you use mods, but this one by LittleMsSam is perfect for handling urns/ghosts.

It’s just the “Release all Ghosts & Get Urn for” part of the download that is needed, and then you can manage all the deceased Sims in your save.
  • The MCCC mod has an option you can unhide households, and this is where the ghost goes after a sim has died. What I usually do when a sim dies and I can't find their urn/tombstone, and I just can't find them any other way I will unhide them. You'll be able to find them in the unplayed household section of the game as a playable ghost. I might be doing it the hard way but it is the only way I know how, but after I unhide them I will merge them back with the family, and then turn them back into a living sim, and then I will "kill" them off again, usually by old age (if that is what they died from before). MCCC has an option for this as well. Just make sure you save your game before doing this, in case something messes up. After the sim has died, they will go through the whole death scene, and the grim reaper will show back up again, and this time you'll also have their urn/tombstone. I would strongly recommend not letting other sims witness the death because of the negative moodlet from witnessing death.

Thank you both. I do use mods and I will try both ways. LittleMsSam has a ton of mods on there that I want so that works!

@Kita5399 where exactly is the option to get an urn for? I downloaded the mod, but can't find the option anywhere.

@LaBlue0314 he doesn't appear in the hidden households.
  • @Minx, then the game has already culled him if he is not in the hidden household section. One thing you can do if you have a copy of him saved in your library is to use the cas.fulledit cheat and add an aged up version of him to the family, then kill him off after getting him into the game, and this way you can have his urn/tombstone.

I believe you need any urn or gravestone, click on it for all the options to appear. I just keep one in my Sims inventory to access when needed.

Blah, I gave up and decided to go the girlfriend "made him disappear". I will look again though at the sims am mode to see if I can at least figure out how to work it.
