- I never planned on such a big household. Had two kids and then two unexpected sets of twins and I have to admit I was out of my comfort zone for a while and they were pretty low on funds! (we couldn't afford a tv for weeks!) But actually I am now really enjoying it.
Added an extra bathroom and made Mom quit her job and stay at home to cook, clean and repair/upgrade plumbing (as bathrooms in constant use and having at least two things break everyday was the bane of my life). It helps if meals are cooked and then put straight into the fridge as they last ages and are convenient for those who may have to leave earlier/come home later than others. The odd vacation day helps those at school and work too if it all gets too much and days off aren't enough.
The oldest two kids have now moved out and to spice things up again Mom is pregnant so let's see how it goes! - @MicemSims what's the auto solve button?
- LOL - I like how you play it Katyjanecat. I've been known to do that sort of thing too , keeps it interesting.
Welcome and have fun with the fam. "ChloeDeCookie;14931821" wrote:

If you press a need icon itself in the lower right corner, the Sims will choose a way to solve that need. (But not always the way you want - they might head for leftovers, not fresh-cooked on-the-counter food, or to a computer not a jungle gym)- Kealaa10 years agoRising Adventurer

This is the auto solve button circled in red. :) - Kealaa10 years agoRising AdventurerJust wanted to give another tip for Simmers who play larger households but want to know how to manage them better. If you have Luxury Party Stuff, the buffet tables are a life-saver!
- Rudiarose10 years agoNew Ace8? Pish posh...I have had up to 15 in one of my Leg houses and 5 ghosts. Make sure everyone has a bed. Delete and replace any bed that a ghost once slept in in life. They like to haunt their old beds. Have a bathroom for each person and shower.
- LOL "8? Pish posh" you say. Cracked me up. So you use a mod to play more than 8 people in a house hold - same thing , just more of it - have enough bathrooms and showers and beds basically.
I don't use mods but I'd play a household that big if they let us , can get crazy but that
's the fun. I'm on a large house hold kick right now and have quite a few going , love it. - Suziish10 years agoSeasoned AceI'm not too familiar with how over stuffing mods work in 4. I haven't tried it yet cause I know you are limited on moving sims out and changing their clothes and my sims change clothes a lot.
In sims 3 I've played 21 sim households. In 4, I've played 8. I like lots of sims. I prefer it.
As said, pause is your friend. I'm a strict scheduler (read: strict, controlling sim god) and I like my sims needs to be green. So I'll pause, load up each sim on what they need, making sure to alternate what each sim does at a time so no one is canceling actions. Once needs are all green, It's usually time to go to work or school. Schedules are your friend, too.
When they get home, it's homework/daily task, then needs again. Once that's done, I do let them do whatever they want, have movie nights, go out and socialize, etc.
One good thing about sims 4, you can take one sim off the lot and leave the others to deal with themselves if you feel overwhelmed and need a break. Just be careful... sims will sleep in the middle of the afternoon and you'll go home at 9pm, thinking it's time to get everyone ready for bed, and your left behind sims will have near full energy bars. It's hell on us schedulers. - Necroposts :)
