How to remove caregiver?

My kid got himself a caregiver when he was a tot when the caregiverlived in the household. Now the caregiver has moved out and the kid is a child. I don't want him to have the other sim as a caregiver anymore. I saw that sim in town and there was no option to remove them from the position.

    Have your Sim visit the child, then click on the child and there should be an option to Remove As Caregiver. You might need to move the Sim back in briefly to do it then move them back out.

    I do not play with the other sim. Only the family where the kid is in.

    You could temporarily merge the other sim in with your family to take control and find the option to remove as the caregiver. Then afterward go back into edit town and move that sim back out again.
