- The easiest way to get it done is to grab a ghost who died by fire from the gallery. When angered, he/she gets a special interaction to start a fire. You can use the cheat sims.add_buff e_buff_angry to get him in the right mood.
Have fun!

stats.set_stat commodity_Buff_BurningLove_StartFire 7 — Spawn a Fire. This has a 15% chance of spawning a fire and igniting your active sim each time you enter it. Copy-paste the command until you ignite. If you want to keep your sim alive have a shower ready.
sims.remove_buff Buff_Fire_RecentFire — Reset Chance for Fire. After a fire has occurred, 2 full sim days need to pass before the cheat is usable again. The command below will remove this timeout immediately. Note if combustion is still active, your sim could re-combust.
sims.add_buff BurningLove
sims.remove_buff BurningLove — Remove Combustion chance. The combustion command lingers with your sim, meaning after the timeout runs out or is removed, your sim could spontaniously combust at any point in time. Use these two commands to remove the combustion chance.
objects.gsi_create_obj 0x0000abd9 — Scenic Fire If you want to keep it simple, you can spawn a single flame near your sim with this command. It will not spread, nor ignite your sim or nearby objects. It will disappear on it's own.
sims.add_buff BurningLove — Increases your chances of causing a fire for 4 hours. - lmkiture10 years agoRising AdventurerI find it extremely hard to start fires, let alone kill sims with fire. The always auto extinguish...
Cheats seem to be the best way to go... - DeKaythePUNK10 years agoLegendIt is very hard kill sims now with fire. They've gotten too smart. If you have Outdoor Retreat, you can buy the campfire and keep on adding logs, to make the fire go big an potentially killing the sim.
- Scobren10 years agoLegendPut gnomes around fireplace and rug and furniture. Bookshelves are great fire starters.
- If you have get together there's a chance that the bonfire make your sim catch on fire XD
- I think the cheats only work at residential lots.
- ZeriBlackheart7 years agoSeasoned Vanguardmy outdoor campfire thing catches on fire like every time i use it. i guess you could try putting on inside and putting chairs around it and asking sims to use it, or light fireworks in the house, that used to work in sims 3, haven't tried it here yet. the incense burner catches on fire a lot too

THIS! Works like a charm every time. I do believe that fireworks came with city living so that’s a thing.
Make sure you set them off inside (walls/roof), bonus points for putting a bunch of fireworks close together so they all go off at once and adding flammable items around for maximum burn.- Love the fireworks idea! Lol!
