How to Write Descriptions for the Gallery?
I'm wanting them to sound persuasive and intriguing, but whenever I write, it just sounds generic and poorly written. I tried looking for simmers and realtors who do, but it's either too wordy, vague,...

I just go with whatever I feel like. Sometimes nothing, sometime a more descriptive text about the sim (like skills or work) which is mostly for me but I also know simmers who download from the gallery and doesn't want sims with skills etc so I guess it's for them as well.
On occasion I'll write a little story for how I see the sims, sometimes I don't even though they still play a specific role in my game.
I think you should think about why you put so much thought into it, is it for yourself or in the hopes people get interested and download? Cuz downloads doesn't really mean anything right, it's just stressful to think about.
But for what it's worth, just focus on less is more I'd say. You don't have to write a lifestory just a little thing if any, like "Effie grew up in the city of San Myshuno after her parents split and her dad decided to get into politics. Now, as an adult herself, she feels a strong need to find herself and travels back to the sunlit tides of Sulani to explore her herritage and reconnect with her mother"... ok that was longer than I thought but I think you might get my point XD
