I'd love skateboarding in a stuff pack (not as interested in ice skating or roller skating). I don't care about stuff being sold piecemeal if it is done well. If something like this has an entire stuff pack built around it they can go more in-depth so that can be good.
Yeah, I'm a bit drowsy, so I thought of skateboarding at first. A skateboarding SP would be amazing, and not to mention new to the franchise. And it gives our sims a new physical skill that the physically gifted trait can govern.
Ice and roller skating would be nice too, but I'd feel better if they were part of an EP instead. I get that lots of SPs have just one major gameplay item, but I think it's hard to build a theme around skating (with respect to CAS and build items), unless maybe they broadened the scope of the SP. - A roller rink would be cool. Could build a nice place with a roller rink and a bowling alley. Maybe add a roller-derby sport because thats getting popular now

I'd be interested if it was roller skating, only because I have a set of sims I imagine as part of a roller derby team. Those girls need their skates!
How about if it was roller skating, then if/when Seasons arrived there was the option to change it to ice skating? Or if you put it indoors, you could select either roller or ice skating?"ImmortalHD1;c-15613172" wrote:
I like your idea about skating, but I agree with other people that it would kinda be a ripoff for just skateboarding unless they charged like $0.99. What I'm thinking a good idea would be is to add a bunch of things like skateboarding, scooters, bicycles, Surfing, jetskis, parachuting? And more of that kind of stuff in one pack, then that would be a really good idea.
What I'm thinking with skateboarding is that we'd get a premade skateboard lot plus the pieces to make our own skate park (ramps, halfpipes, etc.), skateboards, skate outfits plus accessories (knee/elbow pads, helmets, etc.), decor (posters), furniture (benches, etc.) a Skating Skill with new tricks/abilities unlocked as you improve. When you think about the programming involved with the interactions, skills etc. all that would probably be worth the $10 price.- SheriSimSeasoned HotshotI think rollerblading and skate boarding would be a cute pack to release.... if you could skate through your neighborhood, and also build a roller rink to skate in....... even better would be a game pack with roller skating/blading, skateboarding and bike riding. They could include a 5 lot place where you could live or have businesses, commercial lots etc. they could make it interactive with a skatepark.... throw in some things kids could ride their skateboards/skates/bikes on in the neighborhood with jumps, etc. kind of like the cat spot in Brindleton Bay where cats can climb on the boxes. They could add a few more hobbies as well, maybe bingo (a great one for elders) sewing, pottery making etc. to round out a gamepack. I would love having more things for the sims to do.
- That sounds great!
- I agree with a hobbies game pack. Think; you get a rollerskating skill and as you get better, you stop falling and you learn new tricks and can go faster and faster, and eventually enter tournaments for money and bragging rights. And in real life we have Etsy, so let's get some crafting in the game. We have woodworking and painting, let's get pottery making or jewelry making and they can sell the stuff and they themselves can wear the jewelry, maybe even craft your own engagement ring with level 10 jewelry. New skills would come with these. Also things like off site activities where you could earn money and moodlets, bingo perhaps like someone else mentioned. Maybe something like buying worn out trash furniture and doing furniture restoration? Upcycling and selling stuff.
- Briana2526Seasoned TravelerI would like skating in the Sims having a roller rink.

That would be nice but if they can't 'join', or build relationship points while skating with others, since it is sort of social, and or talk (like lack of while fishing) or skate together like lack of dance together (facing etc.) it wouldn't be worth it.
I want sims to skate together like they did in TS2 and TS3. - It'd be pretty cool actually but I don't think ill buy it.
