I know they're just talking about the Caliente household for the updated Caliente looks, but ngl it irks me when people discount Katrina as their mom. She is their mom, in this universe. Heck, you can easily fan-canon that Katrina is the original mother, just under a different name (which we can't write out here cause it'll get censored). They both are redheads so it's not far-fetched idea. Only conflicting issue is the ages, but that wouldn't be the first thing TS4 changed.
Really, if you look at all of the games across the board...the sims series is a series of spaghetti noodle timelines. Nothing correlates together completely. It's all very loose noodles.
