I don't need Greenhouse Haven, but...

I have a perfectly convincing greenhouse, capped with a bougie CC roof.

I have enjoyed it quite a bit, despite buggy plants.
Spoiler

It's even multi-purpose with two crafting benches.
This is fine in itself.

But, these extra decor bits can pump up the immersion factor.

And these windows alone are enough for me to want it.
I can get back the TS3 styled Greenhouse I enjoyed in the past.

The only knock I have against these windows is they don't offer the opened window in a medium or tall height sizes.
The work around is to move them up higher. This works out because I can place benches just below the window. Another knock is the screen version is not a window unto itself. It's a swatch. It's not a big deal, but it does reduce the amount of color options. In a way it's a benefit because if you want to swap out windows for screens in the summer, all you have to do is click on the window and change the swatch, instead of swapping out windows.

So, I don't need it, but I want it.

Greenhouse Haven inspired some minor changes.
It's a large greenhouse already, so I removed a few plant boxes and added benches for more decor.

The ventilation fans, shelves, and light fixtures add a nice touch.

This bench here makes the shorter window placement look intentional.

A nice storage box to replace the one I had.

Now this is the greenhouse of a sim that is REALLY into gardening.

Spoiler

I added my candle making station back in with shelves for waxes and dyes.

I believe this is a CC floor.

I like GH's floor, but I don't think I will use it indoors because of the weeds between the bricks.

It makes more sense outdoors.

I almost forgot the new door.

So, I didn't need, but I wanted it, and I like it.
Should I have it already from past packs that have already touched on gardening. I believe so.
So this isn't a "Shut up and take my money!" situation.
It's more like, "Okay..., here's my money."

This is a very nice greenhouse. I'm on the fence about this pack. I definitely don't need it, and I feel like I have more than enough clutter options already. But a few of the items look nice; I particularly like the seedling pots.

I know they are not putting new gameplay options into the kits, but are any of these items functional as anything other than clutter, even if it's a reskin of an existing object? I just don't see myself ever spending money on a kit that is 100% clutter.

    So 99% clutter. ?

Awesome! I like the look of that chest, too.

I've now become a Sims 4 plant geek. :D Besides the obvious wonderful playable gardening stuff in Seasons & Cottage Living which are the best to me. <3 I actually love the green planting in Eco Living, the beautiful leaf curtains & plant furniture in Blooming Room and finally the cool roof, windows, door & some of the decor in Greehouse Haven. :p Who knew?! ;)

I actually made a Greenhouse home using the following:
    Greenhouse Haven
    Blooming Room
    Eco Living
    Seasons
    Cottage Living
    (Plus some other packs)

It's saved in the Gallery under my username SEREFRAS. Greenhouse Haven complements the other packs nicely. :p ;)

I gave it a trial run and fleshed it out a bit in the process.

Those windows inspired me to add a wind chime.

And it would be nice to add some good old TS1/TS2 Retro music while she works.

    Money Tree added.

    Nice.
  • I really like your greenhouse, the layout is really pretty and it looks like it functions really well. I bought the kit as well along with the basement kit.

I was thinking it was a bit large, but I totally forgot where it had its start.
I was doing the Millionaire Scenario where my sim was growing Morel Mushrooms to make his million.

He worked up the property to having a major greenhouse.

    It was really multi-purpose.
They were furniture making, candle making, and working on archeological artifacts as well as farming/gardening.

    That was a fun challenge.
My sim started off single, got married, went adventuring in Selvadorada.

When he made his million, they sold off that property and moved to Newcrest.
I was supposed to have them start a family, but I got distracted by other packs.

I built them a smaller greenhouse.
