Unfortunately my sim placed her tent and I have yet to find it. She had placed it twice before with no issue - but outside the garden temple when I asked her to place it - she did but when the camera got to her again the tent went flying off and now I can't find it.

Tents are going invisible occasionally. Happened with some youtubers during their Let's Plays.

Yes - I had heard that - but in my case I saw the tent just fly off so I went searching for it - but never found it.
It was the smallest of the tent - so not a big deal. It even made me laugh that it just flew off. I was at the ruins with the single Peebush on the upper ledge area. That's where I tried to place it, not far from the peebush and it just flew off into the air.

Where as the other two spots I had success at placing tents previously were just the gate places. The gates where the chest is and then the gate that lead to the bridge. No problem at either of those.

My tent was an OR purchase so maybe as someone suggested - that was the problem.

That might be the issue since I did buy the campfire in Selvadorada but the other items that I could not pick up were from Granite Falls. The campfire was the only thing I could pick up too. I will also try a game repiar.
