I don't want to auto open to last house played

I may have 4gotten but I am pretty sure that prior to the "resume" button you had to click on load game. It would open in the neighbourhood view and if you wanted a different hood you still had to click on the worlds button?

You can still do that by just clicking on the Load button only and it will open the saved games. Click the save you are on and it just opens into the world not the lot.

Perhaps someone who hasn't updated can check that.

I don't mind opening in the neighborhood view, that was how it was before. The problem now is that it opens in the last house that you played. So you now have to wait for that house to load, and then exit to the neighborhood to select a different house. It does not take long for my game to load, but it is still an annoyance that wasn't there before.

No... that does not work. That will only load a recovered previous game causing you to use game time. Before this latest update the game would just open in the neighborhood view with the icon showing you the last house you had played. Now resume opens the house without giving you an option. Again, it is an assumption on Maxis part that everyone plays the same way and only has one household that they use. I have 53 different stories and houses, and I wish they would quit changing things that don't need to be changed.

I actually like the resume button and appreciate it. The reason people have said the load button works to go into neighborhood view is because that is what we were told. If it doesn't, they messed up because we were supposed to have the option between load and resume to do that. I haven't tested it in a while, but I thought it had been working as intended.

I also still do want a game start change, so I hope they will make a few more changes. Stop making me enter CAS at the start of a new game, which is two pronged annoying because I didn't need CAS and now have to delete an ugly rando the game saved to my library to pass through. Some people surely find both of these useful (CAS immediately and required save), however I always want to mess with the world first and probably already have a family ready in the library.

Edit: Also, the updated resume button was added April 26th 2022. You can look up the patch notes. That was several patches ago, so maybe the latest broke it.

I will add some pics to show what I mean. You do not click on Resume. You click on load game then the saved game and that will open Hood.

After hood opens you can click any other lot or change hood. Its how I play my legacy family and their friends & extended family.

Ah I reread I think you mean you want to go direct to last played neighbourhood first without the saved game list.
Sorry about that. My game is so fast it takes seconds to jump into the hood so never gave it a second thought.

I do however dislike I always have to go to CAS first when I want to start a new game. So in that case I did prefer to open in hood first.

Too be honest I love the new but then everyone plays a different way which makes us all so interesting.

Thanks for trying to help, yes that is what I meant, I want to go to the neighborhood and then select what family I might want to play. My game loads pretty fast, but I have been on the same save for 7 years and my save is over a gig, so it still takes about two to three minutes to load up the first time. And then I have to exit that house and go to the neighborhood to load the family I actually want to play.
