I forgot to add items...

Help! I forgot to add a mailbox and a trashcan to the vacation lot. Now my family is on vacation but can't take out the trash, clean the potty, clean the dog poo, gather their fan mail and Thanatos can't publish his latest book!

What can I do? I can't edit the lot while my sims are on vacation and I really don't want to send them home early.

I thought about putting the spoiled things in their inventory and going to a different lot to dump it off but is there really no way (without cheats) to add these two little things? Also, doing that won't help with the fan mail, right? Any advice?

    bb.enablefreebuild

    lets you enter build mode to add whatever you like without sending family home.

    ctrl + shift + c on your keyboard. Then typing in testingcheats true to make sure that cheats are on.

    Then you’re going to type in bb.enablefreebuild and hit enter. This should allow you to fully edit those lots.

    And.... if you have Seasons put the thermostat in plus the fire alarm!

    Okay thanks. I was hoping for a way to do it without using testingcheats. But it looks like that's the only way?

    The other way would be to end their vacation early, fix the lot and then send them back.

    Yeah, that's what I figured. But I went ahead and just had them visit the beach and take care of the trash needs. It was nice for them to socialize more with the locals anyway and who doesn't like walking around with a steaming pile of dog poo and baby poo in their pocket? Right?

    Anyway, so we made it through the vacation and I am getting ready to renovate their vacation home now to address these needs.
