I have found them in Sylvan Glade. Which is kind of frustrating because I was looking for a cherry tree instead. It seems like the growfruit took the usual place of the cherry trees.
Yeah, my world is now overpopulated with these grow fruit trees.
Honestly, how did they manage to mess even this up?
Maybe finding an NPC to get a seed is too hard for us?
Oh, yes, I cannot even begin to tell you how lost I was without a giant hand-holding checklist consuming 1/4 of my screen.
Do you play on a 10" screen? :p
No, but I can only dream of the day TS4 comes to iPad /s. With these checklists and daily challenges taking over the game, I feel like I've downloaded a glorified, expensive app from the App Store, so they might as well just make the transition already.
They only take over the game if you don't have the ability to look beyond them. Same with any Sims game.
I mean, the Sims 2 aspiration system was even more intrusive telling you to do stuff on a day to day basis, and punishing you if you didn't. And people had the ability to find a way to play beyond them.
I mean, EA were able to take the Sims 3 formula and actually turn it into a mobile game. The Sims 4 isn't breaking new territory here.
I keep seeing you use the same answer...that these things were in past versions. What it seems like you can't grasp is that if you want to achieve certain things in TS4 you have to do it the way the game wants you to. In the past you had a choice of how you would advance and there sure weren't lists.- Hi! My Sim purchased growfruit from the Ranger Station at Granite Falls.
- crinrictHero+It depends if you started a fresh game or an existing one.
Only if the tree is newly spawned in an area can they grow as grow tree. So if you start a brand new game, the chances your town is taken over by grow fruit is really big. If you played a game for a while, only areas you have not visited have chances of grow fruit.
Seems chances that something is a grow fruit tree are very hight.
So, go to areas you haven't been yet in your current game to find them.
It's not a bug but working as intended. - crinrictHero+

I thought that is how it might work so I patched and started a new game. No trees, no Jasmine.
Are you sure you don't have some mod that's conflicting ?
I wrote up a little FAQ: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2016/03/spring-challenge-2016/ "crinrict;14682229" wrote:
I assume you tried repairing the game and a factory reset to see if the same happens when you start a new game this way ?
Actually this time I didn't....and please don't think I'm not appreciative of your help....it's just that I am getting so, so very tired of repairing and resetting a game that's supposed to work.- crinrictHero+I'm not a fan of suggesting repairing and I rarely recommend it but after patching, something *could* have theoretically gone wrong so that would be corrected by doing so.
Question is: Do the eggs work fine ?
Resetting folder is just the easy way to try if something is conflicting. "crinrict;14682291" wrote:
You should be able by hovering over the sprouts. It's only wild tree.
The fact that you have no Jasmine is more bothering though. She shows up withing minutes in my game.
After going back into the game my Sim found several of the glowing trees in both gardens, WC and OS. I've sent him there every day for 5 Sim days and the only option he has is view them. I don't know if the skill level has anything to do with it but he's at gardening level 3.
Still no Jasmine though.- nanashisimsSeasoned NoviceThe cherry tree is in Oasis spring next to an unoccupied house (it's behind the playground), it doesn't become harvestable and there is no way to take care of your needs while you wait for it, so I recommend just making sure you can take a trimming from it and buy a grill to use on the property lot that you visit! You can eat at the park.

That tree in my game is Growfruit too. All the cherry trees are. There are still a couple of lemon trees here and there - I found one in the park I was able to take a cutting from but no cherry trees. If you ever get tied to a lot again and you want to be able to keep your needs full, remember you can buy a tent if you have Outdoor retreat. I had to stay at Forgotten Grotto forever fishing trying to get a dang Wolf Eel - I made an herbal remedy to keep clean, ate harvestables and used the public toilet. Took like 4 days but I got it. lol.- No your game doesn't have problems .I have the grow fruit from Jasmine and I do not have a fruit yet and I feel jipped .I also spliced it still nothing it does glow though .EA needs to do something if having no fruit is a bug
