Most people understand sarcasm as a humor device and are not offended by it.
People never seem to understand sarcasm when I do it. I'm told that I'm mean and immature and need to grow up. Maybe we all need to step back and take a breath.
I mean it's not like there's a shorthand notation for sarcasm or anything, right? /s
