Three things.
Firstly, I agree the load times in the demo may be shorter than most simmers will actually experience - not only because of the decent system they were using but also because of things like expanded save file size across sim generations.
Secondly, do we know what adding content will increase loading times? I have seen this suggested a lot. I have no idea about these things, but wouldn't all the EP/SP-specific stuff be loaded in the initial loading screen? If we're talking about build/buy content, interaction coding etc., would all that stuff really have to be loaded again for each lot/district?
Finally, the main game-play issue for some people with a non-open world is not the loading screens themselves (I can go make a cup of tea, rest my eyes, cuddle my boyfriend, pretend to feed the cat I wish I had etc.), but not being able to control multiple characters in multiple locations at once. Even if the loading screens themselves are short, this is a big loss for people who like to play this way.
