I miss the "snuggle in bed" interaction from Sims 3

Yes! They did this in Sims 2, also. Another interaction I miss (which Sims 3 never added in, darn it!) is the one when the couple wakes up and snuggle awake for a random amount of time before actually getting up to face the morning. It was super cute. I think they called it cuddling. Is that what you mean or do you mean the way they would spoon and hold one another during sleep? (I miss both.)
