I wish I could assign seats to my sims.

I would love assigned seats at home in particular, both in the kitchen and living room.

I usually just make everyone sit down when dinner is almost ready. Then after calling to meal, they get up and sit back down with their food, usually.

As far as school, kids don't always sit with particular friends. Sometimes, they like to separate unless they have a problem with low ego. Then, they would be very attached to those friends that feed their deficiency.

That's just my assessment.

What a great idea. They already have in game a way to assign beds to everyone, except the Toddler (which only makes it slightly difficult if you have more than one Toddler at a time). I would settle, however, just to be able to ask my Sims like they do in MWS, everyone please take a seat.

I'm guessing this would be a major Base-Game overhaul to have assign seat. There was a mod that doesn't work anymore that could sort-of do that. Like locking the computer to certain Sim or Sims. Like doors too. Not the same as assign bed though.

It's always worth posting when the family dinner actually works right. But yeah, I had them all sit there while Rohan made dinner, then Rohan called them all to the meal.

When they're all sitting down, just group them and make them "grab a meal together" so they don't have to get up again.

Yeah, I've done it that way too. So assigned seating at the dinner table isn't much of a necessity in my mind.

What a good idea! Would be great for the table. And I do want my friends/family together in class.

What happens when Friend A is fighting with Friend B because they both are secretly in love with Friend C's sibling while simultaneously woohooing Friend D'Souza sibling unbeknownst to each other?

Don't you think them sitting together would be a bit awkward? Then again, for my sims, that could be a typical Friday...

If that happens, then you simply just don't assign them seats. It may be optional.
