I wish Island Living had a different color environment palette

Based on what I've watched and seen, the expansion uses a pretty basic (maybe slightly red?) color palette which I find kind of disappointing having played in worlds from the Sims 3 such as Sunlit Tides that looked amazing and actually FELT like you were visiting a tropical destination simply based on how beautiful the "skyline" looked from the ocean which was done by environmental lighting.

Island Living's sky looks pretty generic and dark in comparison and doesn't look very tropical at all. The only thing that adds any color or light to screenshots/video is the actual blue water and beaches. The night has reddish sky tones.

I find this kind of strange since almost every town or world in the Sims 4 has a distinct environment palette so I'm a little surprised Island Living doesn't. Anybody else notice this?

    Remember it can be hard to get a true idea of coloring on the GC videos or stills because a lot of them use reshade programs and photo filters that can alter how colors appear in their games compared to how it may look on your computer.

    Looks authentically Maori / Hawaii color schemes tho.

    I love the fact that's the pacific / Maori. Far more unique. Caribbean has been done to death. Just hope the radio stations reflect that so it's not Caribbean music, but Maxis tend to do their homework so I'm hopeful!

    The new decor and furniture looks very nice to me and gathering from how i have seen other players and simmers react to it , many others like the new stuff as well. But style preferences are very personal. I find the actual gameplay underwhelming.So Im mainly buying this one for the new buy/build stuff . As well as because I already own all of Sims 4's packs.
