- I have no idea - every sim I play changes their clothes if you have their outfits all picked out. I generally pre-plan 5 outfits in each category - and a week or so later when I tire of those I pre-plan another 5 outfits in each category. But my sims constantly change - to fit where they are going usually without me even telling them to.
I don't use mods or CC - do you? Sometimes they can create issues in game mechanics like that if there are issues with CC or mods. But I am often amazed at how often my sims change.
The only thing that irks me is sometimes when out at a festival and wearing what I am glad they have on - they suddenly see the basketball hoop and decide to change into sports wear and play ball when they are there at the festival to hopefully find a new love. That is very annoying. Especially if the sim is a heir in one of your legacy's and finding a mate is something the sim has to do - that I can't do for him or her. (I play by Pinstars rules)
Yep that is really weird being in regular clothes in the pool or getting a massage. That does seem like a mod issue.... - Hermitgirl8 years agoSeasoned AceI use to have a glitch where they would stay clothed in the shower... or have clothes on it the hot tub, but haven't had that in awhile. I don't think I ever saw that on a massage table either. That's wild.
- simsister8 years agoSeasoned AceThis particular sim was created by the game as a co worker to the husband she now is married to. which mean, that I just have chosen some outfits for her for different use. No other of my sims have trouble with changing their clothes. So I don't think it can be a mod issue, because then more sims would be involved. Besides, I don't have many mods, and the one I have I keep updated.

I see your point and you are probably right - it shouldn't affect just one sim if it's mods for sure. It is definitely weird. Could she have an insane trait maybe or some other trait that might make her do goofy things like that? I cannot fathom what else it might be. Maybe repairing the game might help if it isn't a trait or a reward kind of item maybe.
Truly must be frustrating.- paradiseplanet278 years agoSeasoned AceIs it the current outfit itself that maybe bugged? Just taking a shot in the dark here.

Nice of you to reply but no, it is one of the game's own outfits. I have tried several times to change all her clothes but it doesn't help. If I make her change to sleep wear, she will wear it for everything, until I make her change to something else. She even goes to work as a scientist without changing her clothes. - paradiseplanet278 years agoSeasoned Ace

I think that one Sim is just bugged then. You say that Sim was game-generated? Well no wonder; in my oldest save some bugged townies get generated here and there. My solution would be to create an exact twin copy of the Sim, give them all the exact traits and aspiration and clothes and delete the old one. Yes many of their other things you couldn't copy will be lost but it's better than keeping with the bugged Sim. It's all up to you. "Simsister2004;c-16427523" wrote:

Maybe it is the fact she was a game co-worker NPC then - as it is always been chancey in Sims to add co-workers created solely by the game to sims families. Their pre-programming is generally just pertaining to their job. I recall in earlier series - like Sims 2 where we had easy acces to sims programming through Simpe and many of those sims did not even have full sim programming. Not changing made sense as they were always supposed to be in work clothing. That sim may have some programming missing or turned off by the game and something we as players could not fix without a simpe type programming. Do not know if there is one out there for Sims 4 so you can check if all her programming is in synch and working - or there at all. I had to seriously redo many sims files especially ghosts that were dead when the game came out - like all the Capps - and the ones at Olive Spectres cemetery before they played right.
Again though I have no idea how you could fix your sim - but now it really does make sense since I realized she was game placed and programmed. Co-worker NPCs are a breed all their own unlike most other NPCs.- Karababy528 years agoLegendMy Sims change their clothes consistently as intended, but what bothers me is when a Sim gets new work clothes and come home in some wildly inappropriate attire. For instance, one of my Sims is in the Business career and after he was promoted, he came home wearing sweats and an Astronaut helmet. o.O
I tried to use the CAS career cheat (sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas) to change his outfit, but when CAS opened he was wearing the correct new career clothes, a snazzy suit. I went back to live mode thinking, cool it's fixed. But, unfortunately he is still wearing the sweats & helmet. It's almost as if the incorrect outfit the game gave him is totally hidden for some reason and can't be changed. :/
Just to clarify, I play a totally vanilla game, so it's not a mod or CC glitch. "Karababy52;c-16427649" wrote:

In this case I would report that to Sims Guru Nick - as I believe there has been other issues with the CL Business and political career clothing off and on - which I understand they have worked on a few times - yours sounds like another one of those issues. I recall one where males would go up a level and come home in a new suit but wearing womens heels. I heard they fixed that one - but it does sound like those two CL careers are still bugged and needs some more tuning by Nicks team.
