- LaBlue03146 years agoSeasoned AceI have them in a single room in type sections. If you have noticed each of the aquariums that the frogs are kept in each have a slightly different color. I have them grouped up by those colors. If I can find the picture I will post it.
- Stina1701A6 years agoSeasoned AceUsually I have one room or even a hallway where I display them. If the home is small, I sometimes put them all over the place and rest into a storage chest. I even put one and even a few in the kids' and teens'bedroom as pets. But in one home, they are relegated into the basement and the painting shed/studio because one of the kids has the squemish trait and as much as I love sometimes to torture my Sims it got a bit tired to see her uncomfortable every time she went upstairs into her room and out again, having to walk pass the collection.
- I build with moo and discovered something neat, when I shrink the bugs only the glass shrinks while the bug stays the same size, so I shrunk the glass of some of the butterflies and hid them in the flowers that way it looks like the butterflys are sitting on the flowers.

here I hid the glass of the fireflies in the lamp so it looks like the fireflies are flying around the lamp

this only works with the flying bugs as they are always high enough above the shrunken glass. - RouenSims6 years agoSeasoned AceMy collector has random tables and shelves and cabinets all over the house with frogs, rocks, et cetera on them.
- @RavenSpit what a lovely idea! ??
- Karababy526 years agoLegend@RavenSpit Oh that is just brilliant! Thank you for the tip! <3 I usually sell them all, except a pair of the most valuable frogs for breeding. Sometimes I'll display fireflies on a dresser in their bedroom and I always get the Dragon Dragonfly to put somewhere in their home.
The only time I ever made an effort to display the insects otherwise was with my Collector Sim a long time ago. I used those floating flat pool pieces from Spa Day sized down and placed on a wall using MOO as shelves for a couple of them. - Okay but... pics please :D I can fathom the concepts but need pics to see how the space around the objects is built and how the things are placed themselves :)
- Karababy526 years agoLegend@Simpkin Here you go. Sorry I don't have a better, straight on screenshot of them. I'm surprised I have a shot at all actually since it's so old. It's from my toaster of a laptop a few years ago so graphics are really bad too. I took this screenshot back then to show her celebrating the completion of every collection the game had to offer at the time so the focus was on her, not her insects. :) Anyway, I hope it still gives you an idea of how Leanne had them displayed in her home.

Its gets filled with metal, crystals, fossils, MySims, frogs, bugs....and the walls are filled with paintings and prints. I also make sure its not accessible to any sim, as they would constantly be down there looking at stuff.
Eventually every finished collection will be moved to a self-built museum. I'm using a generic lot so no other sims will be visiting and using the easels and woodworking benches there. - djsboonie6 years agoSeasoned AceHaven't put any of mine out yet but will probably go with a room. Btw, if you plan on brewing herbal remedies make sure you have enough that you can put in your inventory. I use the cloning machine to create the ones I need from the original I have lol. And no, I don't think you need to be a scientist to use it.
