Ideas for retail stores

I hope it gets an overhaul, I want to use it. I want there to be other options for my sims to make money and have careers, but it's so lacking it feels pointless, to me at least. Let us own spas, let us owning a restaurant or a "bakery" a "clothing store" actually mean something. Let owning a Vet actually make our sims Veterinarians. Being an independent owner adds new story and gameplay elements for us. Not this what feels like an incomplete shell that's in the game.
